From Cascais we sailed down to Las Palmas Gran Canaria and from there crossed the Atlantic to Saint Lucia.
After exploring the Caribbean, the trip brought Falcon Spirit to Bermuda.
Helping to grow the company from a small start up with less than 100 employees to over 45000, Jeremy fulfilled one of his career goals of changing the world by accelerating the worlds transition to sustainable transport.
Jeremy is a Licensed Captain, Certified for 100 Ton Vessels with sailing & towing endorsements
Fulfilling a dream started with the purchase of Falcon Spirit, a semi-custom Gerard Dykstra Designed, Bestevaer 56ST, built by KM Yachts in Makkum Netherlands in 2007. His Father had owned a branch of the Annapolis Sailing School and was an avid sailor. Jeremy spent his childhood through highschool cruising with his family and racing with his father and brother, primarily on a baltic 38 DP named Falcon. After a tragic plane crash that killed his father at 50 years old and uncle at 47 when he was just 19, Jeremy was given a merit 25 by a family friend which he restored and started sailing out of Padanaram Massachusetts which gave him access to Martha's Vineyard.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2000, Jeremy chartered many boat locally and around the world. He bought his first boat, an Alerion 29 in 2013 after the birth of his daughter, followed by larger boats including a Dufour 430 which sailed on the west coast prior to purchasing Falcon Spirit with the intent of sailing across oceans. He and his Dad had dreamed of sailing around the world, Falcon Spirit is fulfilling that dream.
Bringing some of the original Falcon crew back together, along with new friends, the Falcon Spirit team will be setting off in October to sail across the atlantic, to the pacific in stages.
